Default Floor pans suck

So i have decided that installling floor pans is a real bitch especially when they come from china land. I pretty much had to beat them into submission inorder for them to fit correctly on the driver side. I wasn't really lookin for a way professional look when it came to their installation because i plan on keeping this thing for the rest of my life but man o man was it a trip. And i still have the passenger side to finish which is actually shaping up to be easier than the driver's. Any of you guys have this much trouble?

When I did my floors, the actual floor boards fit pretty well. The toe-boards on the other hand were another story. Had to do some hammer work to get them to fit. They are solid now and will be under the carpet anyway.

I had a bit of a struggle to get mine to fit. I used bolts through the floor board and the frame rail to snug them up for welding.

yeah, that was where my trouble was, with the toe board end of it, above the front sub frames

Long pan on drivers side and full pan on passenger side. We set the pans in and used a few rivits all around to hold the pans in place then went around spot welding. Pans were fairly easy but I have to agree..

The toe board fit sucks! We had a 4 inch gap on the passenger outside section of the toe board it was formed inward 2" yet the firewall was formed outwards 2"! Got it welded up all around, lit the torch and started heating it cherry red, then beat the toe board out to match and fit the firewall shape. Once fitted, finished welding it in place.

I went for the full-size one-piece floorpan. Cost over $200 just to ship. Anyway, it fit in relatively easily. I was pleasantly surprised.
