New rims
depends on tire size. if your tires are smaller to acomodate the change, then no. but if they are the same general size (obviously not including the different diameter..) then your speedo will be off.
(# of drive gear teeth) x (axle ratio) x (tire revolutions per mile)
__________________________________________________ ___
1000
Just plug in the number of teeth on the drive gear inside the transmission (6,7,8) multiplied by the axle ratio (3.00, 3.50, etc) and multiplied by the tire revolutions per mile, then divide all that by 1000. The result, such as 19.27 is the approx. number of speedometer driven gear teethneeded for accurate speedometer readings. tire revolutions per mile can be found within manufacturers specifications for a given tire and size or roughly by the equation
63360
_____________
3.1415 x tire diameter in inches.
