maybe it was because you punched it??? With a steel template I always recommend bolting the template in and using the lower holes as pilot holes to drill out the 1/8" pilot holes, and then removing the template to inlarge the holes from there.

I had someone hold the template and then mark the new holes with a sharpie. I had problems on the passenger side also. I was off just barley. Drilled the hole alittle bigger and it fit fine.

I did bolt the template on and then punched the lower holes, took it off, and drilled em out.

bummer, the drop makes a big difference. Is there a solution? If its only one hole on one side can you weld it up and go again?

I already have the suspension installed and don't want to redo it all. Im not too worried about it at this time. Maybe in the future I'll pay someone to fix it[:@]

hey i have daze's template and will be doing the drop this weekend. How much does this effect front ride height? I have 620 springs up front that lowered it 1' and have rubbing issues already with my 16x7 wheels. Im going to get some body work done soon that should help the issue, but I dont want to be lowering the front end TOO much.

It lowered my car 1". I haven't replaced my springs though. It still might lower it that much. You aren't the only 1 having problems with 16s on a lowered car. I also have 16x7s on my car and they slam my fenders during bumps.
