Default Pulled the motor today

Well, we could for the life of us get the trnsmission installed with the engine in the car, and we fought with it for 2 days......sooooo....out the motor came! And wonder of wonders...it only took 15 minutes to get the tranny splined in and bolted down, although it took most of the day to get to that point. With the engine out, we decided to go ahead and clean the engine bay and give it a nice new shiny coat of gloss black. We also took the time to wire wheel the driveshaft, give it a new coat of paint and replaced the u-joints. Then, we looked at the engine bay and then the engine/tranny...............bay.............engine.....da mn if we dont need to clean the engine before it goes back in tomorrow. Anyway...to make this short (I know...too late), we got the engine and tranny cleaned up and ready to drop back in, its hanging nicely on the hoist out in the driveway as we speak, looking all pretty and blue now. One of the sons friends is coming over tomorrow to give a hand and we hope to have the Stang all put back together (and possibly running) before sundown.

Well, I hope nobody back their truck up and take off with that motor...but really, sounds like a good deal. I am partial to the "semi-flat" paint over the gloss but that's just me.

Good point about it dissapearing in the night but it could also rain over night and if the intake manifold is left open then you have more troubles than you want.
I hope you get it running by sundown. I droped my motor last week and still trying to get all the connections made so I can start it up. I only have moments to work on it after work each day
