There should be a flange plate that goes next to the cone ( away from the engine side) on your new pipe. That flange then bolts up to the ex manifold.

(gritting through teeth)i dont know. i pondered that when i ordered it because there was no flange in the picture. but the decription said bolts on to my exhaust kit and bolts on to manifolds.

i figured the flange would be in the box.

but here i am

flangeless.

can i go to a n exhaust shop and ask them for a flange?

is this somthign i can buy?

half way down the page. it says "connects with clever ball socket and flange connection" yet all i have is ball socket.

http://pypesexhaust.com/downpipes.html

dont you think they would say" hey you should buy this flange from us at an additional price"? i wouldnt have minded buying it.

but every week goes by and my mustang is still on jack stands no where closer to an exhuast.

Will the one off you old exhaust fit it??? I doubt an exhaust shop would have the flages as they usually reuse the old ones. If you can't get any, let me know. I have two off my old manifolds. I can draw you up two and have them lazer cut . Of course, I would have to charge you like $20 to cover the material and to give the guy for programming time. You would also need to pay for the shipping. You could do it paypal. If you need me to do this, let me know tonight and I will bring one with me to work tomorrow and see if I can get it cut. It might be monday before they could get to it though. Either way, I could probably have them to you by the end of next week. Also, what is the diameter of the pipe??? The holes in the stock flanges are 2", so if the pipe is bigger, I need to know that way I can have the holes made bigger so that the pipe will fit through it.

most exhaust shops should be able to sell or make one!!!

Calm!

Makem measurements / diagram, and if they dont HAVE one to give you, they can make one. or a welding shop can. Shouldnt be a big deal.

sorry guys thanks for the calming words

ive been waiting on this stupid "bolt on" exhaust for three weeks. my house is starting top become more stressful than a episode of survivor.

ive been up till about 3 in the morning everynight in the gargage after work trying to get that exhaust all done.

my old manifold flanges do not fit because the pipe is a 2 inch, i have a 2.5 inch pipe.

tyler72 thanks for the help, if you dont mind id like to see if i can find a local place to do it tomorrow only because im under pressure from the family to get the car mobile as of three days ago.

ill let you know asap. the price is perfectly resonable. and is probably better than ill get locally.

Yeah, I doubt an exhuast shop will be able to make you two, only because it is plate steel, and most of them only deal with tubing. Besides, even if they had the plate, they wouldn't have anything to cut it precisely with. I also doubt that a shop that only welds could make them, because there is no welding to it. Actually, a torch wouldn't even work because it needs to be an exact and perfect fit in order to seal correctly. A high end fabrication shop (like where I am currently working) could probably do it, but they would charge an arm and a leg to do it right, and would probably take a week or two for them to get to it. The only reason I can get it done fast and for the low low is because I work there, and nobody has to know that it isn't for me . Like I said, if you need them, let me know ASAP. I can most likely get them to you next week. I will even overnight them if you'd like, and want to pay for it. It probably wouldn't cost much since they aren't big.

By the way, I see you "fixed" your sig. Thats Funny! Its very original! I like it!
