Heater hoses...
Awhile back I ordered one from Advanced Auto but it was straight and I want a 90*. So, I bought one off ebay but it won't work because the barb hits the intake runnner....
I've been looking all day and cant find a fitting that will work with my intake! It needs to be 90 degree with 1/2" threads and 5/8" barb, and stand perferably 2.5" tall to clear the runner.... Suggestions?
I had the same issue. My right angle hose connector hitting my intake. So here's what I did. I got the connector from Summit, they're Earl's. I think it looks kind of ridiculous, but it works

I had a 90 degree fitting on mine but changed it to this 45 degree so there was no kinking. The taller valve covers change things.

Hmm, see, valley's intake looks flat and Chase's is kinda hard to see. I have an Edelbrock Performer and the runner is about 1/2" from the fitting hole and it stands 1.25" tall. So my normal 90* fitting can't even get 1 thread in the hole since the barb immediatly hits the runner.
It looks like crap, but I picked up a 1/2" black iron coupler that stands 3/4" tall and should clear it just fine. It kinda looks like crap, but maybe if I paint it black it will blend in better...
