Several problems fixed...one repair...
Finally...got around to installing a new (-)ground cable from the trunk mountedbattery directly to the block. Used 1/0 cable, went to stud on back of rh cyl head. Previously, the only ground was to the thin metal trunk floor, from the previous owner, and the car had hard starting problems when warm, and high rpm power loss. Well, what a difference this made, wish I would have done it sooner. Now it starts faster and stronger, idles smoother, accels even stronger even over 5000rpm which it seemed to lose power before, plus it starts right back up when its hot!! I knew this would fix my hard starting when hot problem, but I guess the extra resistance/weak ground was causing my voltage to decrease over high rpms resulting in poor performance from my ignition system, weaker coil, electric fuel pump flow... Read many posts on this site about the same type of problem and finally found time to correct it.Now, just need some damn traction!

Actually, yourcurrent requirements get higher as you spin the engine faster which causes the voltage to sag. Having weak grounds don't help either. Your strating problem was probably due to the poor /inadequate grounding of the engine to the car frame. Regardless, its fixed now by the best probable solution![&:]
