7- 1967
R- Dearborn plant
01- Hardtop
A- 289 4V

The last six are your Unit Numbers.

The GT Equipment Group included the grille mounted fog lamps, power front disc brakes, dual exhausts with chrome quad outlets which were excluded on the 289hp 289, GT gas cap, F70x14 tires, handling package, rocker panel stripes, and GT or GTA (for
auto transmission equipped GTs) emblems. 24,079 Mustangs had the GT option.

the only way tio find out if the car is original GT, you have to get a marti report or the original build sheet or invoice.
i believe you can get marti reports from 67 mustangs on, so you might be lucky

VIN and Doortag don't help identifying, but A-Code engine as in your VIN is already a good hint that it could be one.

In 1967, any V8 could be ordered with the GT Equipment group, so being an A code is not an indicator.

Yup, you could even get a C code GT in '67 You'll need a Marti report to verify. Fog lamps, GT valence, and external decor group (allcome with the GT option group) mean it very well could be, though.
