Default Hey Newb to the forums

so me and my dad have been rebuilding our 1972 mustang mach 1 convertible. and yes it has all the mach 1 **** but its a convertible and yes i know that doesnt make it a mach 1. but right now its at the body shop getting painted eleanor gray with racing stripes and all that jazz. i just wanted to know how many 72s are on here and just to say whats up to everyone. i get on srtforums alot and this is alot different. anyways we are trying to figure out what to do to the engine and for wheels and tires. we kind of want the new mustang rims in black with a chrome lip and a beffey tire. i saw some on tire rack but what do u suppose we could put on there tire wise. they are 17x8. whats the biggest we can go.

thanks

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a sweet project. Pretty soon you'll be hitting the Cracker Barrel Cruise nights up there!

I'm partial to TTIIs, but Magnum 500s look really sweet on those long nose cars. May also want to check out some used 2003-4 Mach 1 wheels.

keep us up!

i test drove a 2003 mach 1 today and those wheels are rather nice. they would go well with the body lines on your 72

americanmuscle.com
they are your best friend for brand new mustang wheels.

i would recomend using 94-04 wheels because those wheels will fit your car with only a 1 inch spacer

Well nice car, i drive a 72 sprint and love the lines on the superstangs... i would not badge it with the mach stuff if its not one but hey, its your car and you loving it is all that really matters... also i would look into the 71-72 Mach 1 grills, they look good. People always give me a hard time about my mach 1 grill and mirrors saying coupes where never machs but its factory on my car with the sprint package... welcome the the forums and have fun with the 72.

Welcome to the forum.

I am also a fan of the '71-'73 Mustangs. I have a '73 Sportroof and a '73 Mach I.
