Default Water pump bolt kit

Does anyone know why there are different bolt kits for water pumps with and without air. I bought an ac for my 66 289 seperate and used all the same bolts when putting it on. I was just wondering what the difference is.

Because the water pump mounts the AC bracket, a couple of the bolts should be longer on the "AC kit". Are you sure the non-AC bolts got full engagement into whatever they were screwing into?

Yeah Im sure they did. Maybe I did use longer bolts but I dont remember where I woulda got em. Anyways thanks for the info. Im replacing the water pump and am gonna get new bolts so I was wondering which kit would be best. Im just gonna buy the kit with the A/C and can always mix and match if i have to. Thanks Dave

My A/C compressor mounts only to the driver's side head. The only difference I can see isthe idler pulley bracket.

How do other A/C compressors mount?
