Default Seat pans

Does anyone know what gauge metal npd and the other suppliers use for the seat pans of a 1966 ford mustang? I have a 10x4' piece of 16 gauge steel laying around and I'm going to make my own if this is thick enough.

16ga steel should be think enough, however there are some stiffening/support stampings on the pre-bent pans to minimize flexing. Be careful in that when you bend up your home-made pans, the top surface is not too flimsy without these features.
