Default need help again/ thank you

hello all, i just want to thank you all for your help gettin my 66 closer to purring back to life. do to an engine fire i have had to start over again. i am looking for a distributo for my 66. i have the motor and exhaust done, all i need is a new wiring harness under the hood and a new distributor. I am trying to decide on what I should run. How good are the Petronix distributors? Would it be better to buy and after market ignition or buy the old school stuff? I am debating between a stock distributo with a petronix electronic conversion, or petronix electronic distributor, or an MSD ignition stsem? I will begoing into boot camp in a few months and i would like to get her running before I leave.

If you are going the pertronix route, I would suggest the whole system to include the flame thrower dizzy and the coil. Going into boot camp, huh? One piece of advice. Keep your mouth shut, and don't volunteer for anything.

Actually, boot camp can be a lot of fun if you approach it with a positive attitude. Put your pride in your back pocket and just do what you are told to do. Learn your lessons well, because you never know when the training will come in handy to save you and/or your fellow soldiers' life.
I don't know much about the MSD system. Maybe others will chime in with that info.
