Carpet Dye?

Default Carpet Dye?

The black carpet in my 65 has faded on the passernger side from the sun. Has anyone ever dyed their carpet?

these days with re pops so cheap, I would by some new carpet. Dye could work, but expect to have a bright black spot instead of the fade.

I had considered the same thing at one time but to be honest, new carpet is around $100.

Not to mention I need to replace my floor pans anyway and no way I am putting old carpet back in after I get that task completed. My thinking is that for another $100 I am going to replace mine when I do the pans since I have to take the carpet out and put it back in anyway.
