Default Mustang Gurus.......

Hey i have a question for you guys who are mustang gurus!!!
About 3 years ago i had a 68 mustang, and i was in the process of getting a bigger size sway bar, so one day my dad talk to this guy who knew a lot about mustang and told him we wanted a sway bar for the stang. The guy told my dad that a pinto/maverick/.......???? and their was this other car but i cant remember used the same shape but thicker sway bar i believe 1" for a 68 mustang.
So we went to the junk yard and got it for $20 dollars.
i sold that car about 1 yr ago and bought another one recently but the problem is I/my dad,do not remember what car we got it from do any of you know what car carries the same sway bar????????

Don't think even the Cougar is the same. In any case, get an aftermarket sway bar:P They're not that expensive, and you get a nice new zinc-coated unit rather than an old rusty one, and you at least know how big it is beforehand. While you're at it, get an export brace and consider a monte carlo bar as well.

I think the Maverick was badged under a different name for Mercury. That may have been the other car. I can't remember what it was called but it was just as crappy as the Maverick.

It was called a Mercury COMET.

You may want to look at a Torino/Thunderbird/LTD/Montego/Monteray/Fairlane/Cougar Those had larger Swaybars.

That's right! Rhymes with "vomit." I did not have a high opinion of those cars. They rusted faster than a Mustang!

Ha Guess what we did.....................
Daim im happy its a 1" sway bar and it has the exact same shape for only $25dllrs..................

I would not classify my first car, one 1975 mercury comet, 4 door, factory ORANGE paint, black vinyl top, inline 6 250, 3 speed auto, bench seats front and back, as awesome.
