Default monte bars

Do monte carlo bars fit with a 351 inside a 65 stang? If so what is a good brand? Also what other items do I need other than the monte carlo bars and export brace after putting in a bigger engine?

It should fit, but I'd suggest a curved style just to make sure you clear the filter and dizzy.

Yeah, I suspect you'll need the curved style to clear the distributor. Nothing wrong with that, though, they're still plenty strong.

Also consider bigger springs for the front end. Type/size varies depending on the stance you want to achieve for the front end.

Is this an i6 to v8 conversion, or just bumping it up from a 289?

I know it fits in a 66.

I just remembered there is a catch, if you have/want A/C you will have to make a custom bracket we are currently having to make one, and we are using a lower profile pump...

See, thats my issue. I have the factory York AC compressor on my 347, and I am afraid that a Monte Bar will hit the compressor. Has anybody experienced this on a 71-73?

Measure your clearance and figure out where you would install it that would be the safest way to check. Fit a fake bar the bar is pretty much even with the deck indentions and the bar is about 1" think? I suppose that would work for you to find out?
