Finally got the front painted and the suspension back in so i could push the car outside and clean up my garage...

Looks good, is the pass side shock tower supposed to be dented in like that?

the shock tower is like that on all 65-66 cars. That paint looks fantastic, great job. What was your method? When I did mine I sandblasted and primer and painted with a HVLP spray gun. That front end looks very clean and has a nice shine, again great job.

I ended up using a product very similar to POR-15 called Zero-Rust. Pretty much the same thing less a couple step that POR-15 recommends for prep. Primed with epoxy first, wet sanded then sprayed the Zero Rust. Came out pretty good considering its a product i have never used before.

Also re-painted the shocks using this Zero-Rust product.

Wow. Beautiful. Wish mine looked like that. Are those the original shock towers? Is that a severed leg laying in the engine bay?
