Default 67 wheel sizes

Hey everyone. I know this question has probably been asked alot but i cant find where i read it. I have a 67 mustang with a rear end out of a lincoln versailles, Im looking to buy some wheels and was wonder if anyone that put this rear end in theres would let me know what sizewheels and tiresthey are running and what backspacing i would need to get to fit the car. I would like to gowith 17's if i could fit them. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I have 16s and have problems. It might just be my car. I know people put 17s on. Dodge Stangs site will help you. www.dodgestang.com

I have 18X9's on the back with spacers and other than rolling the fender lip, no problems. I would suggest having a rim shop doing the measurements for you.

Ya its at stock hight i might lower it but i want to see how the tires fit first. There arnt any rim shops around here and i checked the tire shops and some of them couldnt even tell me how to measure them myself.

I have a 68 with a lincoln Versailles axle. I am running 18*9 with 5" bs. I have 275/35 18 tires. No problem here. I can tell you that 285/40's will trash your wheel wells though. I found that out about a week ago with my new paint job. [:@] The lincoln axle is about 2" shorter than our stock axles. You could likely get away with 4.75 bs as well.

Dang. I haven't rolled my fenders yet, but they love to cut into my rears. Your car is lowered 3 inches and it still can hold that big of a tire... My car is lowered 1" in the front and I have trouble with them.

Thanks for the info it should help. Are the 68s the same as the 67 or are there any differences i should be aware of with the size of the tires.
