did you have clearance issues with the shock towers? would it have been easier to puta mustang II front suspension in it?

I had clearance issues when I installed the engine with a set of hooker headers. They wedged tight against the shock towers so I had to pull the engine again and get a set of FPA headers and they fit great.
The 427 is an all aluminum tunnel port but dimensionally it's the same size as any FE so it works great in there. I thought about a mustang II setup but I just changed it over from power to manual steering so I wouldn't have to do the P/S cylinder drop.

They're original Fordchrome 427 pentroof valve covers. No openings for PCV or oil filler.

Thanks agin everyone for all the positive feedback. As I said, I've envisioned this car for about 15 years and it's finally coming together. I've considered selling it to fund another car I want but I know it's difficult to sell an unfinished project even when it's this close to being done. I'll probably hang onto it and finish it up and then I most likely won't want to sell it after I've driven it for the first time. It should be the mostwicked ride I've ever had, I had this engine in a cobra replica and it's really strong.

This is the closest pic I have to a straight on front end shot. Hope it helps.
