Default Wheel Adapter

Im wondering how do you turn a 67 Straight 6 with the 4 lug into a 5 lug....i know most would go all out and replace the spindles but i was wondering about a wheel adapter...can you turn a 4 lug into a 5 lug and put some Bullet Rims on my mustang ? has anyone here done this and how did it workout ? also anyone know any companys that carry these products...no luck on any of my searches

btw im not going to race this mustang or plan on doing any serious speeding i know most people are worried that the adapter crack due to stress from speed and power

I've never seen 4 to 5 lug adapters for the 4.5" bolt pattern. I think they lugs are too close on the overlay to be feasible.

I saw some adapters for the 4lug to 5 lug 4.5 on ebay a while ago. I thought about buying them but I have never bought anything online so I am a little afraid of doing that. I guess I'm afraid of putting my creditcard number in the computer never done that, heard to many things. I met a guy who had them on his coupe I think it was a 67 he said, that they were reliable and he had driven the car (with the adapters) on a 3.5 hour drive, at 60 mph. Lucky me I met another guy who had the front complete spindles and rear end, so I got that instead. Good luck on your search.

id never trust a adapter or spacer. You don't need new spindles just replace your hubs and brakes with the v8 ones.

+1 The spindles ona 67 are the same 6 cyl and V8. Just switch out the hubs and brakes for the front. The back is a little more difficult...
