Upholstery Question (68 Coupe)
Hi, I'm a mustang rookie for the most part. I'm about to purchase some upholstery for the front (not bench) and back seats - probably TMI brand. I see that these slip on and are then hooked with rings, using a special tool.
My question: Is this easy? Is there a trick to it? Any other tips that may help? Even a better recommendation on product if you think I'm making a mistake there. Looks like they're around $140 on eBay.
Thanks in advance everyone.

your going to get alot of people on here that says that its not terribly hard to go ahead and do it yourself. i say give one seat a try and it it seems to difficult STOP and take it to a shop. thats what i did, but mine was a time issue also im sure given more time and patience i finally would of gotten it on, straight and hog ringed!!
The special tool.... hog ring pliers.... come in real handy, but are not 100% necessary. I did probably ten sets w/o the pliers using regular old pliers instead, but finally broke down and bought a set of them.
Pay careful attention to how the old covers come off and you should be fine installing the new ones.
Lay the new covers out in the sun for a good hour to soften up the material.
Patience is key. If you know up front that you're not a patient person, forget about doing it yourself or they'll come out like crap.
Good luck!

I toss them in the dryer for about 30 min on medium guess July weather you can save on the power bill and go solar.
You can do this yourself by following the advice listed so far. Son and I did our interior together and everything worked out fine. Would advise you to have someone assist to stretch and pull and adjust while you place the rings. Good luck...post some pics as you are doing it!!!
