Default Tanny issues

Ok I am new to Fords and realize I don't know anything I have been trying to work out my tranny issues. I bought a c-4 6 months ago to put in the car. I got the motor back only to realize the tranny I have been sitting on is for a 6 cylinder. So I have been scrambling to get a c-4. Will any other c-4 work? I have a cruise-o-matic two speed out if the Galaxy. I think I am going to put it in so I can get it on the road. Then I will look for a good C-4.
What about the early Fox body cars what did they have.

That sounds decent wonder how much it would cost me to get it shipped? About how much you think it weighs. I will start checking shipping to 60966 Illinois thanks

The grayhound thing isnt worth it...If UPS comes out more than 100 ill pay extra.

This trans was recently rebuilt professionally and is in 100% working order with less than 12,000 miles on it...new Torque convereter as well. Ratchet shifter is also in great shape.

how about just swaping in a c6. Although it weighs more than the c4, it can be built to withstand just as much/if not more than a c4

$400 for a rebuilt C4, with a converter AND shifter, that's a gOOOOd deal.

+1. Even with the $100 shipping, $500 for what all you are getting is a really good deal. Go for it. Oh, and by the way, a C6 can be built WAY stronger than a C4, but there are C4s out there that can handle 1000 HP, so for your application, a C4 will be just fine.
