Default MSD 8479 installation question.

I recently purchased a MSD 8479 distributor with a MSD 6AL ignition control module. I realized as I was installing it that I would most likely have clearance problems with my oval style air cleaner once the wires are attached. Anybody have any suggestions as to how I can get my air cleaner to fit with this distributor? I really don't want to get a new air cleaner so if there is an alternative I would gladly give it a try. Thanks.

Did you ever get a solution to this? I'm facing a similar problem with a 72 with a Ram Air and the MSD distributor is too tall.

I think edelbrock and summit racing sell plastic spacers you can put under you air cleaner to raise it up. Maybe you could raise the air cleaner up enough to clear the distributor?
