Default Reverse Lamp Issues on a 69'

I have a quick question that I am sure you all can help me answer

Everything on my car works flawlessly with the original wiring and everything... Except for the reverse lamps. I replaced the neutral safety switch and they are still having issues. The problem is that the passenger side light is not turning on when I reverse. Another issue that I found was that when I purchased new reverse lamps (which turned out to be 68's) neither of those worked (I don't see how different they could be).

This seems to be a really strange problem in my opinion and I hope you guys can shed some light on what is going on.

Thanks.

Check the lamp, change it with the one that works. The best thing really is to use a light tester to see if you have voltage and a good ground to the light socket. Hope this is a good start.

make sure its connected into the harness in the trunk? sometimes the simplest solutions turn out to be it.
