I've been considering on and off for a while upgrading my '68 from its I6 to a V8, and now that I've got a job it's a goal closer in sight. I've been wondering if in the long run it would be worth it? Is the extra power worth the higher gas milage? And then is a 302 so much better than a 289? I'd like opinions on this, thanks.

It's not impossible, just pretty complicated, because of driveline and suspension modifications. Depends on how far gone your car is, (gonna replace everything anyway, or how much you want to spend

You might consider rebuilding your six and adding a 4 brl intake/carb and better cam and exhaust...

I have a 1965 mustang coupe 6 cylinder that I would like to convert to a 302. I need to find out what standard transmission and rear end that fits it. I would prefer a five speed.
