Default Headre problem?!?!

I have recently purchased a 1965 Ford mustang. It came with no tranny. I have a c6 ready to put in it. When I got it, it had a 351 Windsor in it. The headers didn't fit at all! Need to know what kind of headers will fit and where to get them.

A 65 engine bay is not made for a 351 windsor-289,302 or a 5.0 will give you more clearance for the headers.Hope this helps.Scott

How is that gonna help him scott??? He already has the engine in, are you suggesting that he buys another engine so that his current headers will fit? [sm=wtf.gif]Wonder26,yes, you can get headers to put a 351W in your mustang.

Here's a link to the page with some headersthat will fit your car with the 351W installed in it:

[sm=funnypostabove.gif][sm=funnypostabove.gif][sm=funnypostabove.gif] That was the best morning laugh, "how does this help him... are you suggesting he has to buy another engine?" Classic, ok I know it is the truth but very funny..

I completely agree with Tyler replacing the engine is not an option especially when 351W are awesome I have one in my 66 and with those headers it should fit fine, the only thing I can think you may have to do for a little added clearance is shorten the bolts from the upper control arm coming through the shock tower... just a maybe though.. Hope that helps
