Default what will she do?

planning on going to the track when the car is painted, but was wondering what time i'm gonna get. i know the whole thing relies on the driver, reaction time, 60 ft. etc.

so, minus driver error in the best possible circumstance, what'll she do?

it's a 1968 mustang coupe basically all stock, 289, c4, 8" posi rear with 3.00 gears,670 holley, edelbrock performer intake, headers, 2.5" exhaust, 25" tall street tires.no major engine mods or weight loss.

tell me what you think and i'll let you know what she does when i get her ready.

Yea in awesome conditions with a great driver and some sticky tires.... maybie 15s+... and thats probably pushing it.... but one good thing is that means there is plenty of reason to start modding away and its not hard to gain a few seconds with gears, head & Cams and a whole list more =-P... and no need to be sad if my stang could run 15s i would be really impressed... its a 302 with the same basic bolt-ons... geting the power up and the times down is a never ending hobby, thats the good part about it

yeah 15s is probably being a little too generous, our classics are...slow..hence the turbo im puttin on mine! but in all honesty they have a massive amount of potential, gears, cam, heads and some tires and youll be doin alright. the launch is KEY, so run it a few times and see what works best. last night i ran my buddies LS2 gto cuz he didnt wanna run it. first run i ran a 14.8. 3 runs later i ran a 13.9 with a 2.1 60' just by messin around with my launch RPMS. and then i kicked his *** in his own car. that was sweet (PS everyone was runnin **** times last night, my car ran .18 faster than a gt500)

I only have had mine at the track once and did a 15.5 second run....didn't have a tach at the time so I was guessing on the upshifts and I advanced my timing before the run!!!! I would say that your car is anywhere from mid 15's to 16's territory. Also depends on tuning and how good your internals are...

15s at best.

Just wanted to throw this in here... I ran a 1.6 60 FT time at our track with some drag radials. I did it twice in a row and have the time slips to prove it . After that the track went to crap though and everybody started slowing down. Like you all were saying though. It depends a lot on the driver. I outran a Supercharged Roush car a few times, but he also outran me a couple of times too. Just have fun with it!
