wow never heard of it in my life, and i thought i was well connected, ive been a subscriber of mustang monthly since the 80s, and muscle musgtangs and fast fords since the ninties, and half a dozen other mags, my tv hasnt left the speed channel since 1999. i dont think many people in florida is into it or knows what it is.
do they have it in different location every year or is it always south west.

Thousands upon thousands of classic cars, And i think it really has to be a classic, i'm pretty sure they have a restriction for how new it can be to enter shows and that. I think the cutoff is like 1975 or something. Not sure but i'm sure the wesite has it.
hot august nights or HAN as its called around reno is a annual gathering of 5,500+ american and european cars '72 and older. there are loads of free concerts featuring great oldies, a huge swap meet, cruises, and show n shines. it really is a must see thing for car guys and gals haha. usually takes place the first full week in august. its gotten HUGE in the past few years...800,000 tourists, 15,000 more cars on the road and $350 mil economic impact (hotels, gambling, food, etc.)
oh and ill get pics up in a little bit, prolly tomorrow.
oh and this is its 22nd year...my mom ran her mustang in the first parade.

HAN is really awesome if your into the muscle era cars, I went two years ago and had a blast, be prepared to pay jacked up room rates.
The Atlantis is a nice resort, the bridge across Virginia St. during the cruising of cars is cool and the other side drops out into a parking lot with cars and just up the street is the Peppermill with its own car lot.
The cars cruise all over on a predetermined route, downtown Virginia stree by the casinos is a good viewing area also.
I have heard good things about Sparks but have not viewed the cars as they tend to make a circuit around the valley.

Hi HAN fans! Okay, new to the forum and saw this post so, of course, its the first one that I just had to reply to. I live in Reno and it has been a sleep depriving week already with working 7a-5p and going out every night, but... its worth it! If anyone wants to get together and meet just PM me and I'll give you my cell number. I'll be with agroup of friends inSparks tonightand may endup at the GrandSierra Resort/Casino later. Thankfully, I am off for the next three days, woohoo. I have a dark green '66 coupe so if you see me just hollar. Hope to see some of you!
