Default Running after 11 years

Well during vacation i stayed home and finished drive line and suspension . Typical story lots of things got in the way and the car sat . Not saying i haven't worked on something just not the Cpe which i have had the longest . Most the real heavy work had been done the first 2 years i owned it , i purchased it in 1997 . This is my album link to the cpe showing its start and where it is right now . I'm52 years old and feel really stoked to here it go and move after all this time . Few vids at the beginning of album .

Welcome Bluestang! I'm also50 something enthusiast, and I have a 66 coupe in about the same shape. Its down to bare metal at the moment and I'm just about ready to cut the entire left rear clip off just behind the front seat platform and replace it due to a bent frame rail and other accident damage from the PO. I'll get photos posted some day. Anyway, I enjoyed your progess as detailed on the web-site. Continued good luck.

Jlg Thank you Sounds like a chore well stay on it . It seems time is more a challenge the the car itself . I.ve been working 6 day weeks also so i found if i come home get in there its better . Once my one part finds a comfy chair (like im in ) i have trouble getting back up . I try for at least a hour every day now to help stay with it . I will take off a day in there once or twice a week .

bluestang, the pic's show your car being supported on jackstands while you were replacing the drvrs side qrtr and trunk. noticed you didn't weld in supports or cross bracing to keep everything in place. did you have any problems with body distortion using just the jack stands? I'm really hesitant to dive into the body work on my 66 because of the distortion issue.

You may not see them but i supported the car with bottle jacks and RV screw jacks . But the inner structure will hold the car fine and no movement . The 1/4 is more a skin with weight being supported on inner and outer wheel house and frame rails . Here is a pick of RV screw jack there not designed to hold alot of weight but with a few of them they work great .
