Stangfix
Alright guys, bash me all you want, but here's my $.02
I've been a member of this board (after a rocky intoductory post) for a few months now and here are my observations. I like all of you "regular" guys, so please don't take this as a personal assault, that's not my intention.
With the exception of a couple of you, 99% of everything that you type is flat out wrong. It's like the blind leading the blind over here.
Who here can help me put together a concours quality restoration? No-one.
Who here has sat on the board of directors for the Mustang Club of America? I doubt, no-one.
Who here is a regular contributor to published technical articles? One guy that I know of.
Who here is recognized as a respected Mustang builder/leader throughout the community? I believe there's one guy here.... (same guy as above) I've seen him post once or twice in the last few months of reading through every single thread.
The bottom line is this, the knowledge base just isn't here to give correct answers/help for all of the questions. Most of you initially found this forum because it was on the front page of your search engine, but what got it there was the late model owners, not the classic owners.
Last month I was killing myself trying to chime in on every thread/topic trying to help keep some of you guys straight, but it's just overwhelming. I read through some of todays recent topics and can only shake my head at some of the misinformation that's being presented.
1969 Fastback? no such animal...
'77 F250 429 CobraJet? LMFAO!
StangFix is just getting off of the ground. The only "younger" people there are the ones I sent a personal invitation to from this site. If you really want to learn about your Mustang and how to maintain/repair it, the experts are over there, not here. I'll still chime in over here whenever time permits, but honestly, good luck guys.

I think it means that since we were invited, dave wants to see us naked.
which, naturally, he will.
:-D
But seriously, I do like the forums here, but there really is more technical advice readily available on stangfix.
