you may check the two wires coming fron the distributer, they may be crossed, I had that problem before and had to run 20-22 initial until I switched the wires around.

What about the dwell? My dwell was off and it would run rough as hell unless I bumped up the timing.. Check your dwell. You can check it easily with a feeler gauge, just find the gap that you are supposed to be at and see if its there..


I have re-read my initial post and still cant figure out what I was trying to say with the tooth being off by one.. I guess it sounded good when I typed it.. Sorry for the bad info..
