Craigs list is great also local adds better prices then a bidding war on ebay . But if you watch and bid last second you could probably get a good buy but allways know the dollar amount your willing to go ..

Gun Jam and 1965fastback did you feel comfortable using ebay?

Was the Car in state? How did you inspect it?

I have only heard bad stories about Ebay. Would like to hear how to safely use it for car buying.

Thanks
Joe

Found my money pit on Craig's list.

There are lots of places on the net to find cars but no way in heck I was buying a car without actually seeing it first so I wanted to find one local.

I was looking at the local ads yesterday and a guy had a '54 Bel Air for $900. Literally, they bought some property and the car was just there, more or less they just wanted to get rid of it.

My guess is there are lots of deals in your area. Key is don't get in a hurry and take some time to ask around, check the local ads, etc, etc....

I (my dad) talked to the guy on the phone, and we had a buyer protection policy. THe car was in Pa and we had it shipped to us, which was a nightmare, took about 2months+ to get it here, anyway ill never do that again.
