Problems Starting '69 302
I just finished installing a new Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and 1406 600CFM carb on my 302, when I turn the key the engine cranks fine but doesn't start up at all. I've checked the spark plugs and they're bone dry. I get a spark when cranking, but it looks yellow and weak. I have an Pertronix Ignitor II and Flamethrower II coil and I don't have the inline fuel filter connected because I'm waiting on a new filter element. Also the electric choke is not plugged in because I'm not sure where I'm gonna connect it. Any ideas where to start? I've checked the grounds and I'm charging the battery right now but maybe someone has an idea about what's going on.

I dont think your getting fuel to the carb.
check for a large air leak in the fuel lines at the carb and the pump. Are the lines backwards?
Remove the fuel line from the carb inlet and put it in a glass jar. Crank the engine for 4 seconds. Is the jar full?

Yeah, I think it was a vacuum leak, I've got it idling fine now, but when I accelerate the RPMs jump to about 3200 and it just sits there until I turn the engine off. Any ideas?
