Talking AJE Racing front end...

Looks like I might bite the bullet and order a complete front end Coil-over (200), Tubular K-Member & spindles (SN95), A-Arm and Power R&P (Fox)!

The Power R&P is an 87 to 93 Fox setup (remanufactured by Atco) and the Manual is a Flaming River unit. I'll take the Fox over FR thanks.

The nice thing is overtime if anything wears out I can go to any local auto shop like Autozone, Furgusons, etc and get replacement parts. This was a huge concern I had with ordering any R&P or coil-over setup as many of them you cant.

Talked to Jim and Anthony yesterday who answered most of my questions however a few quick ones I forgot.

  1. SN95 spindles will take the brake setup for any 94 to 04 Mustang or Cobra correct?
  2. If I remember these were all 13" rotors correct?
  3. Will 15" wheels still fit over the calipers or am I now looking at 16" wheels? Don't want 17s.
Looking at adding the 1" front sway bar. In the rear going with 4.5 leaf standard eye and the Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks (EDL-34214).

I'm a complete amature at all this so looking for any advice from those who have installed this or similar setups. I know the guys over at CPRstreetmachines have done this and I've looked through your helpful threads... thanks. My father has worked on coil-overs and R&Ps before but never a complete swap like this on an older car. My understanding is its pretty much bolt-on but I know it isn't that easy.

Yeah, love the kits. we usually get it without the rack, and order it locally from auto zone. If it does go out, free replacement. We usually try to sell the kits with the Sn-95 spindles. You can use stock brakes of the SN easy. I think the rotors were 12, and you can run the cobra stuff easily, and fairly cheap. SOME rims at 16 will fit with the 13's but not many. You should be looking for 17's on the 13's. Even then, some of the rims hit the calipers. Try stock brakes, and you have a bigger selection of 16's to choose from.
I'm a dealer and love the kits, but it may be a little trying for a first timer. Keep looking at our picks because the kit doesn't have instructions. the kit does physically bolt in, but you will need a spot weld remover though.

Thanks for the info. I had a complete diskbrakeswap setup here and had a new 15" set of wheels but with this change guess I'll have to find some 16s. I'll use the stock SN and not the Cobra disks as we really don't want to go to 17s. Does this affect the wheel offset at all or does it remain the same?

I've looked over your photos a few times and have saved them locally for further viewing once I order everything. Not ready for it this next trip (1.5 weeks and I leave again) so have some time to look over everything.

I need to figure out exactly what I can order directly from Autozone myself before I place the order from AJE. Couldn't get over the price of the rack itself when I looked it up!

I think the track width was actually a little narrower. Not Positive becaus ehave never measured to be exact. But it "looked" a smidgin' smaller.

Make sure that you can find the tires that you want (or will at least be content with) in an adequate 16" size.
