engine problem?
well its seems i am having an issue with my car. its a 302 automatic with a c-4 at times while im driving at cruising speeds or on the freeway or usually when i am at a stop the car would turn off on me at times when im on the freeway i see the stereo short out or it will short out when i use the turn signals and some how the motor loses accelerating power but seems likes its at idle and then a big misfire would occur (this is when i go the freeway) then it would be back to normal. it would happen on and off im thinking could it be an electrical problem? maybe alternator could be faulty?( those its charging) or could it be fuel related?
first thing is check your ground cable.
next make sure your grounding the battery to frame , frame to engine, and engine to body (firewall). this seems the simplest but often times it's just that simple.
Since you say things are acting like they are shorting out make sure all the battery cables are tight then go from there.
any time you put a load or demand on your electrical system is when you are have problems then this would be a solution. good luck

Check the harness under the dash, specifically at the bulkhead where the wiring goes through the firewall. Mine did that sometimes, I would get in the car and the radio would lose memory, I accidentally hit the harness with my foot and it fixed it.
LOL see ^^^^ could be something simple..
