I have a very horrible problem
Rather than being ready to overexert yourself holding the fuel pump in place, you could just crank the engine over until the eccentric rotates away and the fuel pump slides closer to the mounting face
It will still take a little bit of effort to get the pump completely flush with the timing cover, but there's no reason to try to install it when the eccentric is trying to work against you.

Are you retarded? There's plenty of reason to do it my way. Wear a tank top and have the woman nearby. Then flex the hell out of your arms while she's standing there.
Case closed.

okay, everything makes sense but mr. waffles talked about the " filter with the fuel pump", is that the same filter that i broke or the little piece of paper-ish material that came with the pump? oh, and im loving the last post, haha best solution ever.
Yes it is the same filter... you probably should consider replacing it, if you broke one already... they're only $.99 at NPD... and most auto parts stores should be able to order them (and if not, return the pump you bought and buy another one, it'll come with it)
