Default lower control arm installation

im replacing just about everything on my suspension. I have removed everything from both sides in the front and started to put new on. try to stay with me here. I started with the lower control arm, but when i bolted it up i found out that, i can not raise the arm without the side of the arm hitting the mounting bracket. I looked at it and it seems the bushing sticks out more on one side of the arm than the other, keeping the arm from centering in the mount. both arms are like this, but is this normal? any suggestions? thoughts? thanks for any help.

Do you have a pic? May be helpful.

here is a pic of my new lower arm. it looks different than my old one. the blue shows how the bushing is different and sticks out. my old one was centered. also the yellow shows the part that rubs against the mounting hole. i bolted everything up to see if maybe i was crazy, but my front wheels slant inward from the bottom up. and my upper arm rubs the tire now. something is jacked up here ( not just my car). did i get some wrong parts?

You have to replace more than the control arms. Buy an entire kit, install it, then take your car to an alignment specailist to have it properly aligned.

Where did you get the parts from? One thing I have noticed, some of the vendors parts are not very good quality.

Yes you should be able to drive it to the alignment shop. Here is a pic of a suspension kit for your car. See how the bushings are centered? Sounds like you somehow got a faulty part.

Just one more thing, and I know this will be a remote possibility. Are you SURE you don't have the lower control arm upside down?

no its not upside down, and that is the same kit i bought. is it possible that i got a part for a different year? because my tires rub kinda bad on the upper arms and lean inward kinda bad too?
