Default 1964 power steering fluid

I have been told that I can use Transmission Fluid type "F" in my power steering.

However, the dip stick on my 64 mustang 289 4 barrel clearly states:
Auto Trans. Fluid Type "A"

Which on should I use?

One reason I am asking is because I just had the original eaton pump rebuild and it is leaking again. I thought that maybe the fluid type had something to do with it.....

You can't get type A. Type F is fine.

That dipstick is probably the original.....Type A is NLA..Type F is the stuff you are looking for.
