I mounted an alpine headunit in the OEM radio bezel. You can buy these anywhere and just cut them out to fit a standard 1 DIN opening. With that said, the headunit is very old and doesn't even play MP3 CDs. I'm going to be replacing it with one of the retrosound units. As for my speakers, I'm using Infinity Kappas front and rear. In the front I had to fashion custom kick panel enclosures as the speakers are rather deep. The previous owner had already installed 6x9's in the rear panel that separates the cabin from the trunk - I simply popped those in place. In the trunk I have a Kenwood 5-channel amp powering the four speakers along with a 12" sealed subwoofer. It sounds great for an old car.

It looks awesome for an old car! I am planning on using the Infinity Perfect Series speakers in my car which are deep set as well. Since I just ordered the deluxe door panels I'm planning on having a custom center console made to hold them. The kickpanels look awesome do you have a lot of foot room? I would think you'd have a problem getting to your high beam light switch on the floor.

It does come within a couple inches of the clutch pedal but it's no big deal.

Thats good looking car and the interior looks great. How do you use your dimmer switch with those kick panel speakers though? I know it was also commented about the clutch. They just look like they stick out too far.

You could look at radio shack. I have never seen an AM modulator only FM. I bet it wouldn't sound good.

AJ 68 do you have any pictures of when you were building your kickpanels?

I'd like to see what you used and how you made them.
