Default how much?

well i am going to boot camp and decided i won't have time, a place to store my stang, or the money to restore it. how much do you think can i get for her? she's a 66 with a 289, i just got the heads ported and polished with a 3 angle valve job, the bottom end was done about 10,000 miles ago, i have a double roller timing chain and a different cam for her. she's red with white pony interior. she needs work and doesn't run, all the wires hoses under the hood need to be replaced. brand new tranny and almost new tires. she has all original parts and reciepts for almost all the work done to her.

I'm sorry you couldn't get her running. I know you tried. Just figure up what you have in it, and try to get that much back. You may even lose some money. Good luck with the military life.

Unless you need the money, why get rid of it?
Cant you through a tarp over it and leave it your folks?
I had my mustang at my folk’s house for 12 Years while I was in the Navy, and when I could finally bring it to where I lived, I did.
I grant you that My 65 2+2 has been in a constant stage of restoration for over 20 years, and it needed more restoration after being stored for that long. But I still have a mustang (I will never part with it) that is worth more $ now that I paid for it back then (1977).
Oh well, good luck with what ever decision you make, and best of Luck in the military.

He said he didn't have a way to store it. And, it would cost a butt load to store it in a storage facility for the time he will be spending in the military. Now, if he would sell it to me for $2.00, I would gladly take it off his hands.

How's $5.50 sound?

You can get a general idea of a classics value on some of the online appraisal sites (www.nada.com), for one. Then just swing the price up or down, depending on its condition. Good luck!
