okay here it is i already have a 1970 fastback as many of you know but i have fallen in love with the front clip of the 69' now i know what the difference is between them, different fender headlight buckets and grill yada-yada, the only thing that is stopping me from doing this is that I've got the original 1970 fenders and they are in great condition, no bends, dings, or the ilk, just cosmetic damage, this would be a complete transformation not just the front clip, quarter panels and rear too

ahhh no. IMO its a waste. You have a 1970 not a 69. But hey its your car.So go for it!

 

Don't do it. I know a guy locally with a complete 69 mach that needs resto but is in overall good condition for $5500. Sell the 70 and buy the 69.

i think 70's are cooler looking (but i tend to change my mind every so often!!).....maybe get both fronts painted and change them when you get bored!!!

I do agree with you. I think the 69's look better from the front. There is a beefy look to them.

 

Have you thought about putting a scoop on your 70 to make it look meaner
