this is why im just going to put on some KYB GR2's.

cheap ($100) for all 4 shocks. in the past year ive only put on 800 miles, plus its a vert and theres plenty of body twist as it is. i dont want to put anything too stiff and just watch it fall apart from shaking haha.

also its the stock 289 2V

I didn't see anyone address your question on "old school look" Back in the day we ran G60-14s on 8" ET Slots. Used Gabriel Hi-Jackers to raise the rear end.

The car rode like crap, and changed the front end alignment it felt like it was going to fall over in a turn. Sometime an air line would fail and it would come crashing down on one tire that was sticking out of the wheelwell..

but man we looked cool

LOL, too-wide tires, Gabriel Hi-Jackers, and extended shackles. That car screams 70's :P

i replaced my shocks for gas-a-just and now im rubbing tyres with people in the back.
What I had before were shocks that had helper springs. basically a coil around the shock.

So until I get new leaf springs (shipment to europe is no fun) I probably have to put that old crap back in.

I'd strongly recommend against it, yes. And leafs = springs.

Sort of like putting a band-aid on a cut that needs stitches.
