Default screw me.

we just bought the power steering unit and stuff. to find out that our car already has the unit on and all we needed was the hoses (since they were cut off), pump and bracket. sdhsdakdhgdsga. just wasted $250 for the power steering unit.

what type of supreme being forgets to open the hood and look before ordeing the parts?

What if you opened the hood to install it and found the motor was missing...I bet that would have reall bummed you out

Well look at it this way. At that price you can always get your money back. I think I have duplicates for parts for my Triumph and my 54 F-100 and I am already selling spare parts off of my mustang because I over bought what I do not need. S.it happens.

It may be wise to just replace the old stuff with the ones you just bought anyway. If it hasn't been connected and working for that long theres no telling the condition and potential problems reconnecting it all up.

+1...Your old stuff is ready to fail anyhow minus the pump which is either already dead or good for the rest of the life of the car (or close to it)
