Default Just an update, with a couple questions.

I haven't been on here in a couple of months. Just to recap: 67 mustang coupe, 1968 302, constant problems. Stays running anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 days.

Originally I was just going to rebuild/have rebuilt the 302 in it. But now I am thinking about going a different route.

I have found a 1970 351C 2v for extremely cheap. As far as if it runs or not, I don't know. They guy said it turns over but he doesn't know if it will run. (its not in a car, and it is missing the alternator and carb) They way I see it, for how cheap it is I could just have it rebuilt instead.

So my questions:
Were the 351C a good engine?
I don't really know much about them other than that they had farily small oil ports and canted heads.
I assume it should fit fine in my 67 engine bay?
Will I need a different bellhousing or no?
How much HP should it have stock, if it is in GOOD conditon?
What was the compression ratio?

Also the guy gave me some numbers from it, but I don't want to double post, they are under another thread by me titled "351C help, numbers!!"

If you could please help me with any or all of this ASAP I would appreciate it. As I only have about a day left to get it.

I would get it 351C's are good motors, better than a Windsor IMO.

The numbers he gave are probably are probably date code numbers. If its cheap enough and you can get it rebuilt or rebuild it yourself, get it.
