Engine Tag Info help needed
I have this metal tag that is on my motor and was wondering if anyone can give me some information on it. Based on my vin number, I am assuming this is a 302 motor. It has the following numbers:
302 C 68
7G 279J
Anyone have an idea on what these numbers are telling me?

Thanks. This is exactly what I was looking for. One other thing I also noticed that was kind of cool, is on my vin tag for the car, the last 6 numbers designate the production number of the car. Well mine are 100302. Kind of cool to have the 302nd Mustang produced and it has the 302 in it.
