Default Should i buy this?

I am to soon rebuild my 289 but the block does not look too assuring,, when i pulled the freeze plugs out there was aprox. one quarts of rust dust in there, although the slleves apeared to be o.k.

i found this on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts...=p4506.c0.m245

i know this is an excellent deal but i am not sure whether or not it is worth it to me....
should i buy this while i have the opportunity?.... or wait to tear down my motor and have the block tested, i will be buying all new internal so i am absolutley leaning towards buying this.

and one last thing, does anyone here have experience shipping an item like this
does the seller crate it up to ship and ups comes and picks it up? How much does this weight and what are the dimensions to calculate shipping

Well it does say the engine gets hot. My engine is .040 over and I wouldn't go more than that on any engines I would have. They have .060 over.

Any good machine shop can do wonders on a block even sleeve it if needed. If your anywhere in the south theres a junkyard call pull a part you can get a whole v8 for like 150 bucks.
