I'm thinking of painting my window trim black to match the window tint and give it a blacked out look. What must be done to the chrome for the paint to stick to it? Do I have to remove all the chrome? Or can I just scuff it up and then paint it?

 

scuff it like crazy. that's about all i can say. :| i did it to my old 96 200sx to make it look like a 98+ all i did was scuff it up with 400 grit and spray away

 

also use a self etching primer to help the adhesion

you should just paint your windows with chrome paint

I want the windows to look blacked out and no visible chrome around them. If I wanted chrome to them I'd have them rechromed, but I'm really leaning toward the blacked out look. I've seen car's that painted their window trim and it look like crap tho...
