Welcome to the forum! What do mean by trys to turn over? Does the starter spin? If not it might be the solenoid or dead battery/bad starter.

Welcome to the Forum! We need some more info though.. What exactly is she doing? What does it sound like? Does it have fuel in the carb or does it smell like fuel? (just in case the fuel pump was dead) Does it start to catch if you pump the pedal a little? Or have you tried to just hold the pedal to the floor without pumping?

Like Gun Jam said,, a medium to medium long story would help..

ok. medium story.
we came across the problem and fix it.
well kinda
we made a switch that ran from the coil to the switch and from the solenoid to the switch.
and it worked
but steering column broke or somthing so we got pissed and left it alone for a while.
we worked on it for about 6 months to get it where we are now.
so we were frustrated.
then about a month later we checked it out and tha wires fried.
so we need a permanant fix.
new carb, starter, fuel pump, gas tank.
the motor has about 10 total miles on it.
so we cant figure anthing out

If you can't tell what's wrong how do expect us to help you fix it!

Try a long story and be specific to what is wrong. We don't care about any other facts other than what it does "do" or don't "do" and what did you do to make it not work. So start your story with :

I put my key in the ign and turn it to start, the engine (does or doesn't) crank..........

Ok. Next step, pull the coil wire out of the dist cap and hold it to the engine block ( 1/2" gap) crank the car and look for spark, (spark is good), no spark is bad.

Ok, I have to be the jackass. Your age reflects in your posts. Form coherent sentences. It definitely helps us to understand what is being communicated. Just try to form understandable sentences, and we can go from there.
