Lightbulb Tips!

I am going to be looking at a 67 mustang, and I was wondering what I should look for and what areas to look at.

Welcomr to MF! Nice choice of car, I really like the 67's. Anyway, I would look for rust, surface is okay, cancer on the body is fixable, but try to avoid it. Also check the frame and cowl. Pour some water in the cowl and see if it runs into the passenger compartment. Also look for signs of previous repairs. Good luck!

Rust.
The cowl is a must.

Don't be afraid to get dirty. Lay on your back and look at the bottom of the car, front to back and side to side. Pay particular attention to behind the wheels where all the road crap sprays up, the bottom of the front shock towers and the frame rails.

Rust is truly a killer.

Behind the hood there is a grate looking thing, thats the cowl. If you pour water in there and it comes into the floor on the passenger campartment, avoid that car!

Def. look for floorboard rust! It can be an expensive repair.
