strut rod bolts

Default strut rod bolts

hey guys. i was wondering if any one knows where i could find new bolts for my strut rods. i need the ones that connect the strut to the lower control arm. i know there some what of a specialty bolt but im having a very hard time finding them. so if any one knows where i can get some it would help. thanks

I matched them up at ACE Hardware.

Wrecking yard. I needed some years ago and got them from the mustang store in OKC. He sells new and used parts. I believe you can find their website at www.mustangokla.com

grade 8 bolts will do just fine. plus theyre gold so they look fancy

Aren't they a "splined" bolt though. Also, you have the group that nothing but the "correct" part will do.

Yes but ................. when a grade 8 bolt at Ace cost 3 times less than from the classic mustang shop we all have to do what we have to do

thats like saying nothing but stock suspension will work on a mustang. if you swap out for coil overs, then thats bad, its wrong, it wont work, its not "correct".

just saying... im pretty sure a grade 8 bolt the same size will work just as good if not better than a weak stock one.

use a grade 8 bolt and out a couple of tack welds on it after you tighten it up

The potential problem I see with a standard bolt is that it will be a little loose in the hole. You don't want your strut rod to move at all on that end. Personally, I'd use the right bolts.
