Default Rust spotting...

There appears to be tiny spots of rust on my Quarter panel where i was doing body work the bare betal seems to be spotting with it. Is there anything i can temporarily spray over the metal and then sand it off when im ready to paint? I have to do the other quarter then the roof then i can spray some primer surfacer over the body.

Yeah, happens to me all the time. I usually just shoot some gray primer on it if it is going to be sitting a few days. It's easier to sand off the primer than the rust. You don't even need to shoot it very heavy.
